What's The Difference Between 10/22 And The AR 7

Decent Essays
The 10/22 and the AR 7 are pretty amazing guns in their own ways. The AR 7 is a gun that I would personally love to own myself to take on camping trips and to have fun. There are many benefits to having the AR 7 due to the fact that it is compact it would not take up much space in your pack. The ability to put into to action only requires a multi-tool and if you look a piece you can manufacture it out of the weapon itself. The functionality of the AR 7 is really on the user its self, you can rebuild pieces if need be and you can make pieces to make it shoot with fewer malfunctions and better accuracy. Learning about how the Ruger 10/22 gave me more respect for the weapon. The accuracy, reliability and the long lasting of the weapon have made

In this paper, I will explain how I perceived the article Gunsmithing Requires Innovation, written by Paul Mazan; American Gunsmith April 2015. In the last 100 years firearms manufacturing, has evolved in leaps and bounds. Like any other industry many manufacturers have come and gone. The issue gunsmiths and hobbyists alike run into is that once a manufacturer has been closed for decades upon decades it can become near impossible to locate replacement parts, or donor guns that match weapons that come into your shop, thus putting you into a situation where you improvise and find a way to make it happen or become the Gunsmith that can’t do the job.…

As the standard infantry rifle of the Second World War, the Garand saw combat throughout theaters in Europe with the United States Army and especially in the Pacific with the United States Marine Corps. The major distinction of the M1 Garand series lay in the acceptance of the weapon system as the first self-loading rifle reaching operational status in the world. This occurred at a time when other national military forces were still relying on the tried and true, albeit slow-loading, bolt-action type rifles. The M1 Garand, however, was not only…

In this short paper I will go over my thoughts on the article provided for this week’s article summary, Diagnosing Hunting Rifle Accuracy, Part One, American Gunsmith May 2015, by Wendell Dwight Deaner. I think I’ll just begin by saying that this was one article that I feel will really help me in my personal life. I’ve had some serious problems getting some of my small caliber weapons to maintain accuracy, so I’ll be looking to implement some of what I learned from it to solve my issues. Mr. Deaner opened this article by making several points regarding what should be considered when it comes to getting a rifle shooting accurately, and a customer’s expectations. it is very important to keep in mind what you must work with……

Those British rifles can’t even scratch our Kentucky Long rifles, but I had something a little different. I knicked a special rifle off our earlier battles in Boston before we came here, a double barrel musket. People keep telling me the rifle is called a Golcher, but all I know is it sure does feel comfortable in my hands. The Golchers a little harder to aim compared to the Kentucky long rifle, Kentucky’s have something called rifling to make them so accurate. I love this gun thought.…

Trapshooting is good for many of lifelong skills due to the concentration involved in the process of shooting a clay. The idea of the weapon was that once it made contact, the bullet would flatten out. This would cause bones to break easier. On the edges, there were spiral grooves that went around the bullet, in turn; the barrel of the gun had grooves on it’s inside to make the bullet spin. This made the bullet faster, but more difficult to load. Having gunpowder residue collect inside the barrel made it harder to load the more it was used.…

Perception is a critical idea for many works including, “How to Be Stupid: The Teachings of Channel One” by Mark Crispin Miller and “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer. Both works idealize either a product or an experience that outsiders are captivated by. In Miller’s “How to Be Stupid,” he exposes Channel One for all the manipulative tactics used to sell a product to its viewers. While Krakauer’s “Into the Wild” is a retelling of the story of a man named Chris McCandless that goes on a voyage to existentially discover himself and his meaning for living. McCandless had a difficult childhood, and had an outlook on life that many would not even fathom.…

Assault weapons have better use for defense because you get more flow of bullets soaring out of the barrel if someone breaks in your house you have a better chance of shooting them. Also, assault weapons are good for coyote, wolverine, and other various types of animal hunting if they run in a line its usually called a “clique” of animals if they are in a long line together. Guns are used all around the world, but here in the United States, we need to keep our gun usage limited with gun laws. Gun laws are put into action to make sure firearms are used responsibly; however, people will always find a way to break these laws no matter how many are made. Our Second Amendment, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”, gives U.S. citizens the right to own a weapon and use it for the right reasons. Gun laws will not reduce the amount of gun deaths in the U.S. because gun laws do not determine crime; gun ownership determines crime numbers. There were 460,000 gun deaths in the U.S. between 1999-2013 and this was the 12th leading cause of death.…

Modern day America has far surpassed any futuristic dreams our nation’s founding fathers could conjure.
