What's Coming Next Monologue

The Script:
What’s coming next ?
Life is like climbing the stair with the unknown height. You don’t know what will be coming and what will happen later. But just let it be what it will, and get to the top so you can see the scenery you dreamed of, that's what I think about the life. I never worry about what is going to happen in my future, because my sister told me I just get myself ready for everything that may be coming, so I can face the obstacle bravely.

The author, Herman Melville once said, “I know not all that may be coming, but it what it will, I will go to it laughing.” The meaning of the quote is just same as what my sister told me, that was not to be afraid of the future.

My monologue tells the story of a nerdy loser who pretends to be a superhero called Hefty man who has a confrontation with an evil gang of bullies called the Cold shoulder crew. I quite enjoyed the quirkiness of hefty man as well as the low social status in which he held. I also felt from my past performances and characters that this is one that I would enjoy doing. Hefty man is an insecure loser who is constantly bullied by the cold shoulder crew. So, I was intrigued by the idea, that he uses an alternate persona “Hefty man” in order to give himself more confidence and superiority.…
