- What were the results?
First of all, I am really happy to see my results are positive. I went to Buchanan Elementary, Baton Rouge to apply my project. I worked with Samantha’s class. Before going there, I was really nervous about this experience. However, I felt really comfortable with children. I started the lesson with a small warm up exercise. I chose ‘the name game’ exercise. I started to game by stepping forward and saying my name with an action. Then I stepped back and asked the student 's to follow the example, and then to pass it on to the next student etc. We continued until everyone has been introduced. With this short exercise, I got to chance to learn students ' names. Also, I observed, they got to relax and felt comfortable with me. After

It was the first experience for me to work with gifted children in the US. I got a chance to see the one of EBR gifted class and it was great experience for me. I did a lot of research about different kinds of drama techniques and methods for diverse subjects. Now I am feeling well informed about this issue.

Educating Esme is a story of a teacher’s thoughts, teachings and life before and during her first year teaching in Chicago. Madame Esme as she likes to be called lands a job at an enter city Chicago public school, she begins the time before school starts with ideas for a story book festival that gets shot down and with a battle for her “not legal” name to be her formal name at the school. She bumps heads with the principal in this area, yet he wants her to be at his beck and call, calling all hours and doing tons of extra paper work for him. The 2nd grade classroom of Jody Craddock-Iselin has 20 students and each of them has their own personality. I have been observing this class every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. where I am learning so much about how to teach. I have taught two whole group lessons where I have learned that sometimes you have to teach on the student’s level to help them learn and understand the lesson better. I also have got the opportunity to teach a guided reading lesson which has helped me to understand students on different levels of the reading scale. I think that I am doing well in this class and I am learning so much from my teacher.…

When there were not too many people, I usually would go to each person and worked with each individual. However, sometimes working with someone individually was difficult, especially when it was exam week for them, because there were so many people that it was challenging to explain each concept and problems one on one. During exam week, I would make my students sit in groups and ask them to help each other out first. Then, if someone or a couple of people still did not understand anything I would go over it with them together. Afterwards, I would give them practice exams, which I make beforehand to make sure they understand everything well enough to do well on the actual exam.…

During my lessons, my main focus was keeping knowledge alive on the students. According to Doll, romance is the early period of fresh exploration when the joy of the new, the zest of undisciplined exploration are dominant. During my lessons, keeping knowledge alive was essential because students should feel happy about learning, students should feel the excitement of learning new things, and feeling the romance of fresh exploration, students should not feel bored, or even feel as if they do not want to be in the class. As I taught…

When I delivered the teaching session, the experience was an overall success with students showing a clear interest and engaging in the lesson (Table 1, question 10, mean 4.3). The teaching began with a clear introduction to the key learning points for the whole session (Table 1, question 5, mean 4.3), which allowed the students to understand what the session was going to entail. This was beneficial to those who needed to see the big picture to see how topics fit together[1]. I further explained that the session will be split into three sections and explained that certain learning outcomes will be covered in each section. Student feedback stated that there was “enthusiastic teaching in appropriate sized teaching bites.”…
