This was a major occurrence in this revolution that made it possible to move heavier materials and goods longer and faster than the old ways of transportation. The steam engine was created and improved to make things like the steam train and the steamboat. Although you needed a labor force to create the actual railroad, this created even more jobs and once it was done it pushed transportation business forward. “Railroad Travel was fast” (Document 5) was said in that article. Showing not only that goods could be transported father and faster, but people could also go to various other cities to relocate to create more factories and move to other cities. With the increase of better financial opportunities, the creation of more jobs, to the construction of brand new ways of Transportation, it could be argued that there only could be positives arising from this period of time creating new inventions.
