The United States of America has been regarded as the land of flowing milk and honey. Many people take the risk of going to the United States for the purpose of finding work, believing that when they toil in this super power country, they can help uplift the poverty of their respective families. With its most respected currency, America is renowned as a land filled of hope and opportunities where dreams can become a reality. Historically, the United States of America was a rival of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, now known as Russia. If America was after the spread of liberalism, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was after the spread of communism. After the Cold War between these countries, America became the super power with a strong democratic political system. …show more content…
It is always the general welfare of the people that is sought to be promoted. However, this doesn’t mean that the minority are being prejudiced. Their rights are also protected by the fundamental law of the land. According to Abraham Lincoln, democracy is a government for the people, by the people, and of the people. However, this type of democracy was questioned by different political thinkers, philosophers, and scholars when America underwent the great depression. It affected the political economy of the western world. It cannot be denied that the politics has something to do with economy. As a matter of fact, if the government is successful in carrying out the will of the state, the outcome of the economy is also good. If the government performs less of what is expected from it, its economy is also affected. Many looses their job, stock markets crash, manufacturing and production
