The Columbian exchange is often confused that Christopher Columbus started the Columbian Exchange himself, but it was between the Afro-Eurasian and American hemispheres that followed Columbus’ voyage to America in 1492. In 1972 Alfred Crosby named it the Columbian exchange. The Columbian exchange was the widespread of animals, plants, culture, human populations, communicable diseases, technology, and ideas.
