What Was The Causes Of The Great War

The conditions that lead to the start of The Great War are numerous, they include the rise of nationalist sentiments among european countries(including some that did not exist yet), the increasing militancy of Germany, England, France, and Russia, Austria-Hungary, and their allies and the expansionist ideals of all of the aforementioned governments.(despite what some partisan historians might want you to think) While there are many other both more and less complicated these are the ones I view as most important. Nationalism is largely regarded to have been caused by the increasing militancy and territorial ambitions of the larger european countries, essentially people living in countries like poland, greece ukraine, and prussia grew tired of being repeatedly conquered by different countries who viewed them as subject territories. It is unsurprising that a polish individual would want to be part of poland as opposed to Russian or german or Austrian after this kind of treatment.
