In the middle ages most people did not receive education and could not read. Few people could read or write. The people that could read and write were the kings family, people who are rich, and people that had jobs high up in the kingdom. Only a small amount of people that are not higher up in their world knew how to read or write.
Everything was hand made. The blacksmiths made weapons, armor, and various other things. It could take days or even weeks to complete a weapon. It took even longer for a set of armor to be completed. Living in the middle ages was a lot harder that it is living in the present. You had to work for everything. Today you still have to work for everything but everything is much easier that it was back then. If you got sick back in the middle ages there was a big chance that you would not survive that illness. Thanks to the technical advancements we have today, people can get sick one day and be better the next without any side effects. These are just some reasons why the middle ages and the present are alike and
