When I was younger I realized that I loved volleyball and I wanted to play it all the time. I remember being so excited for tryouts when I was in 7th grade. It was the first week of school and tryouts were 3 days long. I remember thinking to myself that 3 days was going to seem like an eternity, and it did. Volleyball has taught me a lot about failure and how to come back from it. From playing volleyball you learn that not everything always works out and that's okay. The first day of tryouts in 7th grade I was as nervous as anyone could ever be. I had never played on a team before and I had no idea what to expect. When I got to the gym after school there were so many girls in the gym that I was in such shock I almost just walked out. Almost all of my friend were there which made it a little better because I at least had some people to talk to. At 12 years old I didn't know that volleyball was like science and if you didn't do things a certain way it was almost impossible that it would work out for you. I had been doing everything wrong and was shown multiple times how to do things. I was extremely embarrassed because everyone else was getting the hang of things and I just was not. The 2nd day was much better and I was starting to understand more and get the hang of things, by the 3rd day I was so confident in myself and the coaches were complimenting me saying that I was doing very well. After the last day was over the coaches gave us a phone number to call at around 6pm that night to see if we made it or not. I was so nervous because the first day I did not do good at
