What Version Of Orland's Love Is True?

Decent Essays
Hi,

I was wondering if I am on the right track with the Scene study assignment. My idea was to translate the scene where Rosalind is in disguise , in order to determine if Orland's love is true. I was thinking that Rosalind could be a journalist who is looking for her big break. She goes undercover to have a prince fall in love with her only to reveal his secrets to the world. She later recognizes that she has really fallen for the price. However, she can never confess this because she has betrayed him, for her own gain.

please let me know if you feel this is appropriate for the assignment. thank you

MODULE B: PERFORMANCE TASK BY LAURA SHANAHAN For this task, I have chosen Act 4 Scene 5: Ophelia’s breakdown. This scene is significant as it provides the motivation for Laertes’ revenge and the audience’s reflection. In this, the court is exposed to Ophelia’s madness as the result of their selfish manipulations. This is perhaps one of the few sombre scenes within the entire play that allows both the characters and the audience to reflect upon the consequences of their actions.…

The book The Shawl written by Cynthia Ozick had a number of deep emotions to it that were very visible to the reader. It was more in the darker range of emotions than anything but there was most likely a purpose for this. Ozick’s portrayal of insanity and instability were a reflection to the horrors many Jewish people went through in the Holocaust. She used these emotions to communicate the past that her people faced and the struggles they went through while trying to come back to normality in their life after the camps. Though she was not one to live through the camps herself, perhaps she is trying to keep these events from being forgotten by the people.…

Rosa: The Life of an Italian Immigrant is an enjoyable biography of an Italian Immigrant named Rosa Cavalleri. From working in the silk mills at as early as six, to being forced to move to Missouri for her abusive husband, to losing two children, Rosa’s story is one you won’t want to put down. It’s true - I read it all in one day. This book isn’t just a fun read, although I was very entertained. It uses Rosa’s dangerous journey through America - and life in general - to display the message summarized in the last sentence: “That’s what I learned in America: not to be afraid.…

Throughout the course of history, the human race has loved. Love, some might argue, is a waste of time, while others might say that love is powerful and helpful. True love is defined as love for each other through hardship, which is controlled by a divine being. In A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the author, Shakespeare, makes it clear that there is true love in the piece, since Oberon and his court of fairies serve as divine beings that meddle with mortal lives.
