What Values Mean To Me

Improved Essays
The five value that are most important that guide me in some compelling way are respect, help, patience, forgiveness, and power. These are all the important values that lead me to a better life.
Respect
What respect means to me is to respect anyone not based on what they look like or their style. Respect them and accept who they are. According to the gotguestion Bible-respect website (2002), “Show proper respect to everyone, we should respect all men, it literally means “to place a great value or high price on something.” Interestingly, today we tend to place our values on our personal rights and the equality of man.” Show concern for people, even though you don’t know them but still respect them. Respect your elders because their age has given them experience which means you can learn something from them. They also have good information and education to share.
Help
What help means to me is to help anyone to become something better. Precept Austin (2016), states that help means “to lend strength or means towards effecting a purpose. To relieve; to

Respect as defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary is stated as “a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something, elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.” Respect is something you cannot teach through words, it is something you earn. After reading Wes Moore’s The Other Wes Moore I believe that success or failure in life is not a result of where you grow up, the education you receive or even the genes you are born with. Success in life comes from instilling virtuous qualities from those you respect and exemplifying them in your own life.…

Spirituality has an effect on the values that people hold in their everyday lives, even in the workplace. Companies are mandating how religious beliefs should be handled ethically and hoping to curtail situations where people’s rights are not infringed upon. Therefore companies are morally, if not legally, obligated to protect one’s religious rights as well as it is the obligation of the Christian…

To me core values really can say a lot about a person; how they act, how they treat themselves and others, and why they make the choices they make. In my life faith, happiness, and love are some of the most important things to me and I have my own reasons for that just like everyone else has their own reasons for their core values. I also think the situations that we go through in life can impact these core values the most.…
