In this lab, the objective is to research astronomical devices through the provided respective links. After choosing one of the devices used to study Astronomy, the researcher must then begin to delve into information about the device and its current location and providers. Through research an understanding is gained, and the researcher is able to better comprehend the capabilities of their decided to device. Once this step is achieved, it is next part of the process to review images produce by similar resources via the Hubble Space Telescope. The researcher is to choose one of the images provided by the center. After reading the explanation of the image, questions need to be reviewed as well as a description of the images contents. As the final portion of the lab, the researcher will review a NASA mission, to enable the understanding of tool, content, and simulation of the actual study. As a researcher, I began my lab by researching the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA). The ATCA is operated by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) at the Paul Wild Observatory located west of Narrabri, Australia. The HST produces high quality images of space and time-lapse, as seen in one of its images labelled “A Change of Seasons on Saturn.” The image is a collage of reference images taken from 1996 to 2000. Within in the image, it becomes apparent of the expanding of Saturn’s rings from the seasons autumn to winter. Along with the expansion of the rings, the changing of seasons on Saturn is more prevalent with its tilt towards the sun being the cause.
