Many Americans fail to see the beauty in the American flag. I’m glad to be out of the dark. Reciting the pledge every day makes me pleased to be an American. I find myself pondering what the American flag means to me, it means freedom, respect, and love. Freedom, something many of us take for granted. We are able to have liberty and make our own decisions. We are given opportunities to build a life with superbness quality. The flag represents equality for some American citizens. Sadly we are divided by gender, race, and sexual orientation. Violence is an overwhelming problem in America because we cannot accept other people's differences. The flag, however, represents something much greater than society now. To come together with love,
