What should I do after graduation? Should I start going to work or should I continue going to school? These were the questions we had when we were about to graduate from high school. For many of us, our parents had answered these questions for us. It was for us to go to college to get a good education and obtain a good career. Trade school would allow them to gain a specific skill for a specific career of their choice (trade-school.net, The Simple Dollar, and Huffington Post: Business). Referring back to the United States department of Labor, a college degree can earn double the amount of an individual that does not have a degree. Furthermore, according to trade-school.net, they stated that, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, fourteen of the twenty fastest-growing occupations only require an associate’s degree or less. And eighteen of the twenty occupations projected to have the most new jobs by 2020 have the same minimal requirements (trade-school.net). These alternatives may not be proper higher education but it is still a form of higher education that provide a form of degree or certificate for completion to obtain a stable career.
