Christianity plays an important role in everyone’s life in Constantinople. Religion makes up the center of the empire, which means that church is very important to everyone. The Byzantine church is known as the Eastern Orthodox Church. The Eastern Orthodox Church is based on beliefs that traced back to Jesus Christ. Jesus is known to be part of everyone’s life. People attended church regularly. The church supports many poor and sick people through the monasteries and convents. There will always be a way for you to be cured if you are hurt if you chose to move to Constantinople. As a Christian, the people also believe that religious sacraments are part of life. The people pray to saints, chant the sacred rights, and study the bible that is translated
