In the poem The Tragedy of Macbeth the three witches play a big part in the story. The witches are important figures that predict Macbeth’s fate and signal to the reader what is to come. After the witches told Macbeth that he would become king one day, Macbeth started to take matters into his own hands. The story of Macbeth is a poem written by Shakespeare in the early 1600s. The Tragedy of Macbeth is about Macbeth finding out that he will soon become king, then after he finds out he kills the present king. After he kills Duncan (king) he then becomes king and gets caught up in killing. After killing a few more people, him and his wife started to become crazy. In the beginning of the story in act 1 the witches are talking to Banquo and Macbeth.
