“What Patriotism Means to Me.”

“Take Patriotism away, and the nation’s soul had fled.”-Edward Mark Deems, Holy Days and Holidays. This quote rings true for the millions of Americans living in our great county because they realize that quite literally, this nation would die without the many patriotic souls rising here. Patriotism comes in many molds, but overall consists of showing one’s love for their country. Patriotism, to me, standing up for what’s right when it comes to matters of the country, supporting the country no matter the cost, and celebrating the numerous great parts of American life.
