Patriotism to me means serving one's country, but at the same time knowing what's right and wrong to do. several countries have very strong patriotism and some don't most likely based on religious culture or the way they were raised. A Lot of people in different countries are brought up to hate one another and kill for what they believe in and other countries are the opposite and don't believe in violence to gain more supporters of their cause. This in turn can result in conflict between the two nations and result in huge casualties of war. A key word is believe in because maybe these soldiers don't even know what they're fighting for because nine times out of ten the government tells us who we are at war with and gives us a cause. No war has been started without the independent government's own interest at mind. If there is one thing everyone knows it is that no one wins in war the only real winner is death. We take life too make a better life and bare the burden of our sins wearing us down to a shriveled husk of a person feeling no remorse for life and taking it like a piece of candy from a candy bag when it should be taken more serious, but when you see things you can't unsee you change into who you are now. Sometimes I think about what I could do for patriotism not for my country but for the betterment of the world and time will tell when we all take up the mystical pen of life to scribe our story before heaven or hell. Now is the time where the small things matter most so if a soldier or anyone courageous enough to spark positive change be in your presence all it takes is one simple word to show them it was all worth it in the end.
