Modern American society today has quite a few influences on just about anything from the smallest objects to largest personalities. The purpose of the analysis is to describe the cause and effects of what our society views on facto of symbols. The birth of this symbolic object is well over two hundred years old. Two hundred and thirty-nine to be correct. Its face has changed of the last two centuries. In making a case for this object which brings Loyalty, Liberty, Freedom and many other agents with its controversy as well. This grand object has been called by many names ‘Old Glory’, ‘Stars and Stripes’, ’Star-Spangled Banner’,’ Grand Union Flag’ or ‘the Continental Colors’. None can measure to the intensity of the American society hold towards those thirteen strips and fifty stars. Americans fly their American flags daily on front stoops to back flat-bed trucks. This standard is a fixture in virtual very school across the nation, flying in front most government building and business from showroom floors to the moon. Americans display old glory for emotional support in the best of and the worst of times. As our nation approaches the fifteen anniversary of 9-11. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, which marked a flood of commerce to the market of flag manufacture, and which sales sky rocketed. To an overwhelming demand to merchants like Walmart whom sold over 88,000 with American flag in the days following the attacks. Just about every American flag flew off every merchant shelves. With surge of public display of the flag sparked a huge show of patriotism across the nation.
