Most children inherit simple traits from their parents, such as dimples and eye color, but I believe that I have inherited much more than that. I have inherited the determination to reach my goals and the desire to make a difference in my community, thanks to my mother. The dictionary defines home as a place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family and or household. Home for me is Houston, Texas. I have lived there for 17 years of my life, As a little kid I have experienced many things, many life changing moments, that little kids should never see and I have experienced life changing moments. At the age of four, my father was no longer part of my life. He abandoned our family and left all the responsibilities to my mother. …show more content…
she let nothing stand in her way. We had traveled to Europe and had a blast doing it, nothing was impossible for her especially with her three amazing children. So for that my life has never been a typical boy, I was never able to play video games and never hanged out with friends on the street not until recently. One of the main lessons she taught me was that reaching your goals is not easy, therefore you have to work hard to achieve them. Working with my mother and a student-athlete has always been a struggle but I never let that keep me away from reaching my goals and I have had my ups and downs but nothing I could never do. So not only did my life been a rollercoaster but it has shaped me into the individual I am today, but not only that I feel that late night drives with friends, moments you spend with family, memories, and experiences, going to Europe, taking leaps, and risks, I feel that those are what shape you into the individual that one is. I feel that my entire life has helped me to become the goal driven I am today and I wouldn't change it in any
