What Makes Mayan Pyramids Unique

What makes pyramids so unique? To be specific, what makes the Mayan pyramids and the Egyptian pyramids alike and different? They both compell and hold a variety of similarities.

To begin, the structure of the Mayan pyramid and the Egyptian pyramid are contrasting. For example, El Castillo Mayan pyramid stands 79 feet tall. The pyramid’s entrance is located at the top along with the temple chamber. The Great Pyramid at Giza was built to be 480 feet but over time it stands to be 450 feet. The entrance is located at the top and the chambers are located at the center of the pyramid.
