I for one and guilty of always judging a book by it’s cover. I know they all say not to and it’s this bad thing that you should stay away from because what if you make the wrong impression. Well doing away with sight could easily become the game changer for love and first appearances. Why not fall in love with someone for their personality and not their appearance? This could be frightening, but wouldn’t it be worth it? To love someone for who they are is very hard to do in the very materialistic world that we are living in. When all people care about it possessions it is hard to truly find someone that wants you for you and nothing else. There are terms out there like suger daddy and golddigger that signify that a person just wants you for your wealth or prospects, nothing else. We shouldn’t live in a world where that is okay, but unfortunately we do. So I believe that living without the ability to see would be almost a whole new world. When one interviews for a job they say that your first impression will stay with you forever. While that may be the case, doing away with the sense to see would alter the game. Surely it would be harder to pick out things and decide what to wear, but to be able to meet someone new every time and have a new first impression would be amazing. It would almost be like making a new acquaintance or friend each time you talk to them because you wouldn’t be able to put a face to a voice. You would just have the voice. There are times when I see couples and I think to myself how did they get together or how are they right for each other. After the fact I then envy them because they were able to look at each other without any sort of judgement and eventually fall in love. That to me is wonderful, and I wish that the whole world worked like that. If we were to stop judging people by the way they look or act we would be better off. The Civil War wasn’t started for freedom for everyone; it was started because the North decided to stand up for the blacks and show people that they are no different than the rest of use. People would be discriminatory and judgemental because they would have no reason to be. To be able to walk up to a person without knowing their race or gender and getting to know them without those physical barriers would create an equal or a peace so to say. Therefore, getting rid of the sense sight could push us
