Graduation Speech: What It Means To Be A High School Student

You will feel like the world is yours for the taking, but there are times that you will feel like destroying your world. You experience stress, loss, and happiness. That is what it means to be a high school student.
You go home from school dead tired from all the stress and schoolwork that you have. As soon as you get home, your mom yells at you for having a dirty room. She yells at you for being on your phone too much, she yells at you for being in your room too much, she yells at you for going out too much, and she yells at you for having too many water bottles in your room. Yet, through all of the anger that she causes you, she still cares for you and helps you pick out an outfit for that nights football game. She drops you off at your best friend 's house because your friend already has a car, but you don’t. Your best friend and you will drive to the football game just to see the cute guy on the football team. As you hear the band play, the dancers dance, and the

As you stand up there, you look at all of the audiences faces. Your new friend, the cute guy on the football team, your bestfriends parents that went there for you instead of their daughter, that kid who everyone made fun of, the popular girl that everyone seems to think is a goddess. “Wow,” you think to yourself, “I’m really going to miss these people.” As you end your speech you say, “High School has taught us many things. It has taught us how to cry, laugh, scream of stress, jump for joy… It has caused our entire world to tremble, but has made our entire worlds grow. If anybody would have asked me what high school meant to me two years ago, I would have said that they are the worst four years of your life. Now, I can finally say that the years you spend in High School are some of the best years of your life, because no matter what happens, we have to remember, we’re only teenagers. Thank
