Heros. Whether it's superman or a person in real life we can all think of some. The question is though what makes that person or superman a hero? We can all name a few traits like strength, but there is a lot more than that. What makes a hero a hero is how they treat people or put their own self out on the line to save everyone else. First, you have to be brave and willing to do anything for the sake of others to be a hero. In passage 2 it says, “ The four apparently came up with a plan. Burnett told his wife, “ I know we are going to die. Some of us are going to do something about it” ”. These four average people were on a plane that was hijacked by terrorists this day was 9/11 and the plane was going to hit the Capital building in D.C.

In passage 1 it says, “ “Dad” he typed, when we were running, it felt like I wasn’t disabled anymore!” ”. Rick Hoyt was born with his umbilical cord was strangling him, leaving him unable to control his limbs, and when his father (Dick Hoyt) pulled him while running he felt like he didn’t have the disability. Ricks father made his life happier because of him pulling Rick along while doing triathlons, marathons and the ironman. Without his dad doing this and making him happy he might have been sad about the way he lived his life, therefore his dad is his hero for making him enjoy life. Lastly they have to have strength and not just physically, but mentally too. In passage 2 it says, “ Those four men teamed up to sacrifice their lives just for perhaps thousands of others ”. These four men (the ones who potentially save thousands of lives because they crashes the plane away from the capitol building in D.C) were strong enough mentally to accept they might die from trying to save everyone, but they did it anyway. In conclusion, a hero is a person who can risk their lives for others and change other lives for the better. Some people might think that all you have to do to be a hero is be strong, but that is incorrect because you may be strong, but you have to be willing to do things for others too.
