"There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing. - Aristotle". No one can avoid criticism if they plan to make something of themselves. It is all about trying and never giving up. If you fail just keep trying and never give up. Even if you do nothing all your life you will still be criticized so might as well try your best and make something of yourself. Criticizing leaves room for improvement and builds you into a great leader. This case would mostly have two very different sides but a great leader would know what is ethically right to do.
Case 37: Changing the grade Professor Karlsen was pressed for time and he was reviewing his spreadsheet with the students grades. He looked over two students who he was thinking of giving a B in his grade but noticed that both of them had missed a lot of attendance in his class so he left the grades the same. He later got a call from Robin stating that she took on to many extra curriculums and was hard to make it to his early class. She stated that she was on scholarship from her tribe and needed the B. The professor said he would think about it and tell her by the day 's end.
The leader in this case would be Professor Karlsen and his issue is does he change the grade for Robin or does he leave it as is. I feel the cause

Robin needs to get her extra curriculums in order and decide which ones are important. If she was to plan out her day in a schedule she would see where things overlap. Robin 's biggest problem with this class was she did not utilize time management at all. To be a good leader whether it be the professor or the student is time management this is a key to success. The professor needs to be professional in this situation and make the ethical and right decision because down the road I doubt the professor will make this exception for all the students who have a similar story to

The organization I chose to evaluate based on the ethics policy is Judson University. I worked for Judson for a year and a half working for their World Leaders Forum. Even though my department was a branch off of the actual university we still worked under the same rules and regulations. I am going to start off with an evaluation of Judson’s policy, then talk about the training and awareness that went along side the regulations. “A leader has to watch every word he or she says and quickly learns that you can’t go through life without a few critics, some well deserved” (pg. 5), this quote as some of the beginning words from MacDonald truly shows that a leader has responsibilities to uphold to. I found it interesting that he showed these responsibilities are not only external, but internal as well. Many do not realize the internal battles that leaders in ministry go through, and in order for leaders to handle a situation in a mature manner; they must uphold to the responsibilities of character they are expected to maintain. There are many internal and external expectations of leaders that are specified in Building Below the Waterline, but only some really stood out to me as factors that I would practice more than others in my leadership positions.…

When I read this aphorism it immediately clicked with me because this is something I had to learn to do to become a good leader. A leader isn’t someone who bosses people around to do things that will just benefit them.. A leader is someone who learns from their weaknesses and inspires others to better themselves.…

That is to serve others before yourself and to give help to others where help is needed. The National Honor Society nominee should show excellent leadership, serve the community and his or her school, and finally display exquisite character at all times.…

I believe that no one person should be responsible for someone else, but that we have to grow up and learn to take care of ourselves. Prior to this course, I perceived leaders as people who told a group of people what to do in order to accomplish a task. When I was put in a leadership position I was always effective, but I never really took the thoughts or feelings of others into consideration.…

He asserts, “Let me make it clear that I recommend giving those F’s – by the dozens, hundreds, thousands, even millions – only to students who haven’t learned the required material” (192). However giving more F’s to the students does not prove that they deserve the grade. An F should be given to the students that deserves it, such as students that do not do their homework, do not show up to class, or cheat on test/homework. If a student does things that show that they deserve the F, then it should be given. In a recent discussion with parent LaToya Jackson, a mother of two, she discussed that although the educational system has a few flaws, she feel that giving more F’s to students would not solve the problems throughout the educational system.…

Therefore, the university or college professor accepts both the public trust and the responsibilities to practice the profession according to the highest possible degree of ethical conduct and standards.
