else that is relative in humans and Neanderthals is the FOXP2, which is involved in speaking and
language. Stating in the research, I found that “Modern humans and Neanderthals share two
changes in the FOXP2 gene that were not tested…”(Humanorigins.si.edu) The evidence is
proving humans are in similar to Neanderthals as far as how we are able to communicate. This is
a major break because we as humans, share mental characteristics so closely related to
Neanderthals.
Neanderthals like humans were able to procreate, meaning that they would be able to have
families and be able to grow within that family. Neanderthals lived in families consisting of
what was called “nuclear families”, () this meant that these families consisted of a mother and
father and their kids. Another great example of nuclear families would be, humans. In a
typical “family setting” will have a mother and father who have procreated into making their
