This simple but true verse “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you” is the basis for all ethical behavior and programs Luke 6:31 (Dake’s Annontated Reference Bible). This simple verse can be found in many religions even though they have ported it is little differently. This verse is the foundation for all ethical issues that we face because if we do not want something done to us we should not do it to others. As Christians, we know right from wrong and treating people badly or conducting business in a manner that will hurt others is on ethical. This paper will elaborate on what makes a good ethical program, its goals, what to essential elements are needed, and how Entergy can improve their ethical program.
Ethical programs Any good ethical program requires a code of ethics, ethical training, and communication, accountability, monitoring and auditing, ethics department, ethics report line and incentives policies which are indirectly related to less unethical behavior (Kaptein, 2015). It is important to have a code of ethics because it clearly states an organizations values and expectations of its employees. This helps give the employees a guideline for how to behave and what is expected of them.
