You are watching your favorite show on television. The show is in its season finale! It 's getting intense and it has you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Suddenly, the show goes straight to commercials. You think to yourself, "What is the purpose of a commercial?! Life would be better off without advertisements." Commercials are the activity or profession of promoting a product, service, or event in a public medium in order to promote sales. An attempt to achieve higher sales, commercials aim to grab your attention. Commercials can air for about ten to sixty seconds long. They try to make an impact on you by producing unusual commercials that can either be humorous, unordinary, or just plain odd. Their goal is to build brand recognition. A …show more content…
They are hard sugar shells which carry the letter 'S '. The confectionery is sold in a variety of flavors, such as Tropical and Wild Berry. Not only are they known for their product, but also for their humorous but odd commercials. They are not your ordinary candy commercials. From splooge of skittles to skittles pox. It triggers the curiosity of their viewers for upcoming commercials. Although, skittles has done a good job humoring us. Skittles commercials send mixed messages about their product.
First off, the commercial of a newlywed having sex. The couple is having intercourse while saying sexual remarks. Eventually, the male says, "Get ready for my sweetness!" and ejaculates skittles aiming it to the woman 's mouth and all over her body. The woman is enjoying the taste of skittles in her mouth. The commercial then finishes by saying, "Share the Rainbow. Taste the Rainbow."
