What makes a business successful? Many businesses fail in the first couple of years because they can 't seem to tap into the well of knowledge. You can build a business with just about anything, but it takes those small things such as nails to keep everything intact. Teach train, a private institution in Colbert has been in business since 2005 under the ownership of Donna Jordan. Child care centers are more popular in today’s society than when I was growing up 24 years ago. In order to keep a business live and running the little things like human resources, technology, and family partnerships, and play a big role in the 10 year success of this business.

I think in order to weed out the “bad teachers and personnel, it is important for directors to have staff developme.nt plan. Staff development is the improvement of the knowledge and skills of employees within an organization by providing them with training (). Most organizations have a plan that provides different tools to use n the learning process. Using staff development alone without the other will not be beneficial Developing individual teachers ' knowledge and skills is important but not sufficient () http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/business-english/staff-development. There are free traing courses online that could be done if more training is needed. As a requirement for child care center peronell a minimum of five hours of training is needed yearly. According to dictionary.com, technology is “the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment. The majority of businesses have many different functional forms of technology. These range anywhere from cameras, DVD players, televisions and so much more. One of the most effective forms of technology that is used is computers. Computers provide students and students with a wide variety of ways to learn new concepts. Since Learning Train is part childcare center and also offers k-4 classes the center has around six computers for student use. Computers are used to gain attention, engage learners in real world situations and gives asses to unique information that wouldn’t be accessible without this technology, and it also increases teacher productivity. Learning is the bread, and technology is the bread truck (Richard E. Clark, 2001). The use of technology by teachers can benefit not only the students but parents as well.
