When I was younger, I was often asked by teachers to, "Describe yourself in one word". But the thing about identity is that it cannot be surmised in just one word. I found it difficult to chose one word then, and I find it even more impossible to do so now. By choosing only a single part of myself to acknowledge, I disregard the parts of myself that make me who I am, the parts that make me unique. My identity has an infinite amount of layers to it, which keep adding to itself the more I grow. My identity changes with that same growth, as my beliefs change, and as I discover more about myself.
