I decided to start college for numerous reasons. My drive really came from wanting to become an accountant, the wide range of opportunities, and I have big dreams. I’ve always planned to go to college since I was child. The only thing I’ve changed my mind about since, is my major. I decided being an accountant was a good idea for me because I like money and I like helping people, so why not help people with their money? I want to open a firm and become a CPA. A CPA is a certified public accountant. My job will be to help people and companies with financial planning, investments, taxes, and other financial activities. I feel that this job will introduce me to some very important people, and open big doors for me. I enjoy doing business and interacting with new people. As boring as it may sound, I enjoy the typical office environment and sorting through piles of meaningful paperwork. Another reason I started college is because I have big dreams. In college you never know who you may meet or even share a class with. Who knows, the guy in your algebra class could be the next big business owner. In college you are surrounded by people with a similar goal as you. Your network can impact your net worth. Meeting and interacting with people is important in life, especially if someone is already where you are trying to get to, why not get to know them? I believe that people should surround their self with people they want to be like.
