Some of Basketball’s best shooters played in the 1970’s and 1980’s. One of those men was Larry Bird. Larry Bird was born in the small town of French Lick in Southern Indiana where his incredible basketball career began at Spring Valley High School. Larry Bird’s High School Coach told him that there was no place for him on any team if he keeps being so generous by setting his teammates up with great passes instead of shooting the ball. So Larry decided to just do both pass and shoot. He became “Larry The Living Legend”.
Larry Bird was born on December 7, 1956. He grew up in French Lick and that's where he turned himself from a young boy to a phenomenal basketball player. After Larry went to Spring Valley, he attended Indiana University
