Kind Of Learner Essay

When asked what kind of learner I am, I began to think of all the learning assessments I took throughout my education. They ask you a series of questions that determine whether you are a visual, an auditory, or a kinesthetic type of learner. However, you are never just one of them you are combinations of them all, but one is more dominant. I feel that for me to truly understand new material, I must engage in all types of learning. I must see a visual form of new information then hear how the information works. In addition, I sometimes need to feel what is being said by writing down or acting the information out. I feel that I am a very logical person, meaning I tend to miss the little point of easy jokes or fail to understand simply task because I over complicate everything. The simplest tasks are the hardest task for me. For instance, writing this self-evaluation. I read the objectives over and over again. I wrote and rewrote my thoughts and feelings, and I took this simple assignment and created stress out of nothing. Thus, I over think problems and try to find a trick or a hidden meaning where there is none, and I miss the simple point of the task. Also, I am afraid of being wrong even though I think or do know the correct answer. I am always looking for approval, and when the pressure is on, I tend to freeze or pond the outcome of my decisions before action is placed. I guess you can say I am not quick on my feet, but when I know my answer is definitely correct, I will take action.
