The speaker pointed out that we need to determine what kind of job we want by assessing our values and interests because if we choose family we might not want to work far from our home we might not want a job which lot of travels are required. By doing background research we are able to identify what kind of environments that we preferred to work because it can help us to make a better decision so that we will increase our interest and responsibility while working in a suitable environment. Therefore, I believe I need more preparation than other job seekers. In my own experience, I was late for 5 minutes for a first day of my job due to traffic; after I arrived the manager didn’t want to talk to me. Even though it has been 7 years but every time when I recall it I still feel embarrassed. Therefor, I understand that to perform professionally with the right attitude and be prepared are so important.
