The invention of the first affordable car helped usher mankind into a new era. People used to live in places that were convenient. They would choose a home based on where they would work. People need to be able to take this freedom seriously, and they need to respect it. The summer going into my freshman year, my friend’s mom died in a car accident. Her mom was coming home after working a night shift when she got hit by a car that was driving on the wrong side of the road. The passenger in the other car also died on impact. The driver, who was extremely intoxicated, killed someone who left behind a family that loved her. This driver also killed his own friend, and he will never be able to forget the day when he murdered two innocent people. The driver had the freedom to drive, but he abused that freedom when he decided to drink and drive. Because of his mistake, he lost all of his freedoms when he was charged with manslaughter. Everyday he spends in prison, he is reminded of the fact that he killed his own friend, and an innocent stranger. As for my friend’s mom, that man took away her right and freedom to live when he hit her car. People gain more freedoms when they get their driver's license, but they need to be responsible and avoid taking that freedom for
