What Issues Related To Littering In Melbourne's No Dumping?

Nonetheless, unlike how issues concerning stormwater and rainwater are viewed as “significant,” issues relating to littering are not. There is an immoderate amount of waste that can be found in the laneways of Melbourne due to improper disposal of waste products. In No Impact Man, Colin Beavan discusses many important topics, one of which is about trash. This topic got my interest because we see it everywhere, Colin goes into detail and discusses a lot of facts about it. An interesting observation was made regarding the black color of trash bags, that the reason trash bags are black instead of transparent is because people do not or cannot deal with seeing what is inside of them. Another related topic that always gets my concerns is recycling our waste. There are a lot of people that don’t recycle and just don’t care.…

It may not be apparent to many when going about their day that they could potentially be breaking laws. Frank Trippett in his article claims that many people break laws everyday without even noticing it whether it be jaywalking, littering, or even just being too loud in a public domain. Some people would feel as if everybody should know the laws and know that, for example, jaywalking is illegal, many of us know this but for the young kids who have never been talked to or confronted by the police would not be aware to these laws which therefore would lead them to just be “crossing the street” cause they did not want to wait at the light. Many people break laws all the time, most are aware when they do, but others are not as educated about the law system or how it works or what laws even actually exist.…

With people, comes trash, and this inevitability is what is causing New-Yorkers so much headache. Previously, trashcans were placed underground in the subway terminals. Though this seemed like it was the best option for the placement of the trashcans, they would often be overflowing and rat-infested by days’ end. Consequently, to solve this problem, city officials decided to remove thirty of the trashcans, and place the remaining ones at the entrances to the underground terminals (Fitzsimmons). By taking away trashcans, city officials just made it harder for a large amount of trash to be disposed of.…

Karachi and Melbourne being two different cities have different levels of sanitation. Karachi being part of a third world that has abominable quality of water and sanitation. Contrary to Karachi, Melbourne being part of a first world country that has commendable water quality and prodigious sanitation. From gathering knowledge, it depicts that they have some similarities commonly shared, one being that they both have designated areas for the citizens to defecate, which highly decreases any chance of bacteria/sickness spreading that could occur when people leave their faeces/urine behind. Although both have places designated for people to defecate, Karachi is faced with poor quality of drinking water and inadequate sanitation coverage, adversely…

Hello everyone, I believe this campaign might be the wrong way to utilize money and research; this might be a negative way of promoting public habits in attempts to change the environment. The amount of research that is needed to identify every individual seems like it would be a waste of scientific time and energy. It would be almost impossible to be able to detect or “recreate the faces of litterbugs” for everyone who resides in Hong Kong. If littering is such an issue to the country then there should be more things done about the recycling system and the use of products. I don’t think the by targeting individuals in society will help them change or encourage any type of promotion of change.…
