How can someone just lie on an innocent individual just to protect their wrongdoings and continue on with life without feeling guilty? But at the same time, this game called lying is the “new black”. Many individuals today in society and from the previous eras failed to realize that “if you just tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Mainly because when someone has told a lie they must create many lies after that to keep up with their story and it becomes too much and they begin to forget the first lie they even told.…

Lying to protect a loved one is important because their feelings are more meaningful rather than breaking their trust. To avoid hurting someone’s feelings, people lie because the truth is “too hard to hear” when in reality, most people would much rather hear the truth instead of hearing the lies that are pouring out of someone’s mouth. In addition, in Paul Grays article about lies he says, “Four in 10 said it was OK sometimes to…

I have personally felt that most of the time, the minor decisions between truth and lies are more stressful because they are more ambiguous, and that having a relationship with the person adds more ambiguity. If someone dropped their wallet on the street, I would have almost no hesitation in returning the wallet to that person because the consequences of my actions would be huge. I would gain money from that wallet, but my conscience would not be able to bear the guilt of that decision, which would ultimately outweigh the positive gain of money.…
