Would you ever hurt someone? What if hurting that someone meant that you would be seen as a hero amongst many? What if hurting someone meant that you were able to save innocent lives? What if hurting someone meant that you lost a piece of yourself and what it means to be human? `The topic at hand is if it is ever justifiable to torture someone under any circumstance. Ever since the 9/11 attacks the United States government has been very cautious on anything relating to homeland security. Since the 9/11 attacks Washington Post conducted a nation wide survey that states, majority of Americans believe that its okay to use harsh interrogation techniques on suspects considered to be terrorist. The margin of Americans who believe this is nearly two to one, fifty-nine percent believe that it's okay to torture while as the thirty-one percent believe that it is never okay to do so. However the arguments that proponents for torture have are very understandable.

Interrogating one man can help reveal additional information to help foil any other possible plans the terrorist may have up his sleeves.
