Lauren, I like how you really emphasized on how when Walmart comes to town whether they mean it or not they drive the local businesses out. Local stores cannot compete with the low prices Walmart offers. While I think Walmart tries to have a positive image with their philanthropic giving they could be giving more to the local communities rather than on the national scale. You brought up a great point how on how brining in a Walmart to an upscale community might destroy or distort the appearance of the place which is exactly what I spoke about when they opened a store in White Plains, NY which is a affluent suburb from Manhattan near where I grew up.
