Heinrich’s research helped to create different ways that business can do to protect their employee and lead to other theories created. Heinrich discovery helped in the creation of OSHA, which is mandatory in all workplaces to be followed. Heinrich’s research is what laid the foundation for why it is important to have safety in the workplace. It is important that HR followers safety procedures in order to insure that the company and its employees are protected. OSHA requires that all companies maintain a work environment that is safe and does not impose health risks to its employees. It is HR responsibility to make sure that these needs are meet. If HR insures that the company is following safety procedures and is protecting its employees than employees will not become injured or sick. If employees are injured or sick than they cannot work which in return the company will become less productive. Also, if the company is known to have a lot of accidents or injuries occurring at the job it can and will ruin their reputation. Companies are built on reputations so if the companies’ reputation is ruined than they will not make as much money as before.
