No matter if you're having a good day, because you have been promoted, or bad day, because you've been laid off, the one phase that brings everyone together for celebration or lack there of is "Hey, lets go grab a drink!". Sure one or two cocktails wont cause much harm, but shooting shots, and drinking random beverages throughout the night cause serious damage, and health concerns. The moment when you finally feel intoxicated, or "drunk" is due to the fact that your liver simply can not keep up. When the liver is unable to keep up with the amount of alcoholic drinks entering the body, the central nervous system becomes depressed. When this process occurs "Alcohol affects the parts of your brain that control judgement, concentration, coordination, behavior and emotions".
The Public Health Agency informs their viewers that once you become this intoxicated your chances of becoming a victim of crime, rape, domestic violence, or assault are more likely. To prevent all of these travesties and imbalances from happening underage drinking needs to decrease, young adults need to drink responsibly, and if you're a parent of a young adult inform them of the outcomes.
