In today's society, racial inequality still exists just like it did in the book To Kill A Mockingbird. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird Tom Robinson is falsely accused of beating and raping a white woman. Today a majority of blacks are looked to as sketchy or dangerous. Society today and the book both can relate to each other on how blacks are treated and seen ‘different’ than others. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird Tom Robinson is falsely accused of beating and raping a white woman. During the case Atticus points out that Mr. Robinson clearly has no use to his left arm after Mayella says that he had punched her, but Mayella claims “his fist glanced off.” Also that he attempted to choke her but that she couldn't remember.
