George Orwell’s Animal Farm was published in 1945 and written in England. The genre of Animal Farm is a novella, also generally considered an allegory. Additionally, it is considered a satire. Animal Farm uses the setup of animals to expose the injustices of totalitarianism. The tone of the novella is objective. Orwell delivers the information in a neutral and unbiased way. Animal Farm’s narrator is third person omniscient. The antagonist is a pig Napoleon and the protagonist is Snowball another pig. Animal Farm’s setting takes place on a farm in England.
