To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee. I think the meaning of the title to kill a mockingbird is a mockingbird itself is a delicate, peaceful, innocent, and pleasant animal, what I think it means is that characters like Boo Radley and Thomas Robinson the story gives you two examples of bad people. This makes you think that which character is a mockingbird and to kill a mockingbird means which one loses their innocence that is the one who is killed and the one who lives is the mockingbird. This gives the reader a sense of confusion while thinking about this question because they can almost decide whether which character is the mockingbird Boo Radley or Thomas Robinson.
Tom Robinson is a physically handicapped man almost like Boo in a sense Tom is also a racist man who the town treats Tom with almost as much hatred or prejudice as Boo Radley.
His character stays invisible for the most part the only time you really read about Tom is when word of his trial is brought up whether he is guilty or innocent.

It's "a sin to kill a mockingbird." The mockingbirds in the book are Tom Robinson, Boo Radley. in order to fully understand someone, you need to "climb into his skin and walk around it." This is a lesson Scout is forced to apply constantly throughout the book. The moral of the story is that Scout is a young child who expected everything to be fair and right in life and she was forced to find out the truth and she finds out throughout the book life isn’t always fair, and you will be criticized no matter what. “Take heed of critics even when they are not fair; resist them even when they are.” - Jean
