One of the strategies I believe would be an effective strategy for recruiting teachers is by sharing my personal story about my teaching experience, sharing my early struggles, milestones, and triumphs, as well as sharing my plans for the future that include the future applicant. This will make future teachers more likely to enter the field or be drawn to the school district if they understand that there will be highs, lows, and memorable moments in their future career. The second strategy I would use as an effective strategy for recruiting teachers is knowing what the core values and vision of your district so you can identify future teachers that will best fit within your district; you should also debate using a hiring tool that allows for future teachers to be identified as candidates that fit well with your district’s values. This will allow you to determine differing values of candidates before they are hired, preventing a conflict of values in the future. The third strategy I feel would be an effective strategy to recruit teachers is by sharing job opportunities on social media, allowing districts to present new opportunities to a broader, more diverse audience. I feel that teachers should be provided with a higher salary, such as employees in the private sector because teachers provide “products” and “services” that are indicated by their students’ development. While this may seem similar to teacher evaluation, I feel that teachers should be compensated because of their great responsibility of educating the future leaders of the world.
