What Is The Theme Of The Never Ending Story By Michael Ende

"This is a review of the classic, well known fantasy childrens novel - The Never Ending Story by Michael Ende.

I first read this book as a child, given to me by Grandmother whom often recommended or gave books to me as presents to instil a love of reading in me. I grew to love her recommendations as they were often books that were for children, but didn't talk down to them, and this is one such book.

The story is a classic coming of age story and hero adventure of a young boy's journey through a fantastical and wonder-filled fantasy land - full of magic, mythical creatures and perilous dangers. I wouldn't want to give away too much of the plot for those who have not read the book before, but I can whole-heartedly recommend it for children

In Luke Geddes book I Am a Magical Teenage Princess he skillfully writes the life story of a massive television. We follow this T.V from “birth” in the factory to its final resting place of a junk yard. Ups and downs occur throughout the lifespan of the television, being tragically replaced by a newer model in the store, finally getting purchased, and climactically realizing how insignificant material things are.…

Wise Blood, the first novel written by Flannery O’ Connor, it has been recognized by many readers and philosophers as an unusual piece and strangest novel. It deals with religions, Jesus Christ, people seeking for religion and redemption. Many writers have analyzed the novel and have many different points of view towards it. Overall, I would recommend this book to everyone that is at or above this reading level. This book not only recovers the memories of first love, but it also teaches children about the past. Your novel “Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer”, juxtaposes the two elements of a children’s book perfectly; on the one hand, you stay true to the subject of the novel and the real mythology, while still, you illustrate the macabre reality of Norse mythology in a way presentable to children. We have grown up watching the avengers. where the Norse characters strayed so far off from their true forms, so as to appeal to Hollywood. The truth was sugarcoated, censored, just so that the Avengers’ writers could generate more money. We grew up believing Thor was a blond, English Adonis, but in reality he was a disheveled ginger who rode on a chariot driven by two goats which he consumes every evening, then resurrects in the morning.…

The surprise element no matter the less I enjoyed and just like most the other parts of the book I enjoyed the ending to. The English in the book was never hard to understand. As we all know, myths and legends are supernatural but splendid, which always bring us to a wonderful world with gods, kings, nymphs. This book is of no exception. Because it is written for children, it is shortened to fourteen brief stories, so we can read i it very quickly. Nearly everyone has heard, if not read for themselves, the story of “Hansel and Gretel”. The story of two young kids lost in the woods, who get captured by a witch, and ultimately escape. In the beginning of the story they made Nicholas seem like a bad kid, like he was just being senseless. After the story played out a little more, you could see the author was really just trying to portray his intricate plan. I wasn't shocked that he was so devious and mysterious, it was something I could relate to. Even though the other kids got to go to the beach, Nicholas didn't want to. You could tell from the start that it was going to be bad when the little girl scraped her knee.…
