Hollow city is about a boy named jacob portman. He had decided to help a group of peculiar children save their headmistress. They are traveling from city to city trying to find somebody that may be able to help them. Meanwhile world war 2 is happening everywhere and they are being chased by hideous creatures and men with white eyes. As the peculiar children struggle to find the last uncaptured person that may be able to help them in war stricken london, jacob finds that he has fallen in love with emma and must decide whether to stay and help the children or go back to his time and his family. Hollow city is a book with so many surprises that you can't wait to continue reading it. I liked this book
