Anthony and Augie became friends after Anthony’s mother passed away, and later when Alejandra transfers to their school the two diminish her resistance and slowly sneak their way into her life. During one of Anthony’s baseball games, he noticed a young boy sitting at the sidelines occasionally shaking his head ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Anthony soon realized that when the boy shook his head ‘yes’ that meant he should swing at the next pitch, and ‘no’ meant to not swing. After one of the games, Anthony seated himself beside the young boy and began talking to him, when a woman walked up and explained that the boy was deaf. Anthony finds out the boy’s name is Hucky, he is deaf, four years old, and believes Mary Poppins will one day come and live with him in the Children’s Residence Home at the Deaf Institute. Having a strong knack to accomplish any goal he set, Anthony made his next goal to introduce Hucky to Mary Poppins. One day when Augie’s parents thought Anthony and Hucky were at the school’s musical production and Anthony’s dad thought he was with Augie’s family, Anthony snuck off bringing Hucky with him to a live performance of Mary Poppins. The two went through the back door by fooling the security guard, spewing lies about being Julie Andrews nephews, and this was how the two succeeded in making Hucky’s dream a reality. After this shenanigan, Anthony’s father decides to adopt
