Juliet is supposed to be married to Paris , so friar Laurence find a solution to her problem which means her drinking a potion that makes her appear dead for 48 hours (5.120-190) . Then, the friar trusted someone else with the letter for Romeo that had all the information he needed, yet he fails to get it to him (5.2) . Romeo kills himself due to Juliet's fake death because he didn't know she wasn't actually dead , Juliet awakens . Juliet refuses to go with Friar , friar flees the tomb which results in Juliet commits suicide . Both families arrive at the tomb , friar explains the tragic sequence of events that occurred . The death of the star crossed lovers brings the families feud to an end and brings them to peace .
Shakespeare's theme is that love can bring hate to an end with a negative consequence.
