The most principle fact is that all people are equal, but some societies still make differences among people that might affect other people negatively. Derrick Jensen's story indicates that some people such as slaves are feeling hopeless when they try to live like others in their societies because people behaviors toward the slaves make these slaves resent their lives. The doctors in New Hampshire diagnosed Linda to prove that she had a mental illness while she was living her life by her own. While no one believed her that she was normal, and tried to live her life by her thoughts, Linda decided to follow the doctor's false diagnose. As a result, she was a victim of that false diagnose and died.
